This past year, while the market has been at such competitive highs, the majority of homes available for sale have been those at the higher end of the price range. Multiple sources quote Sotheby’s International Realty Canada when they point out that Calgary shows some of the highest numbers for amounts of homes sold above $1 million.

For example, in the mega-cities of Canada such as Toronto and Vancouver, $1 million is now slightly below the price range for what is considered a luxury home.
